Fees and Funding

Funding

NDIS

NDIS is a funding scheme that has been allocated by the federal government to support people living with a disability. Early intervention funding is another scheme under the NDIS to support children under the age of 7 who may not yet have a diagnosis. Your child must first be assessed against the access requirements in order to see if they are eligible for funding. If your child does not have NDIS funding and you believe they are eligible for an NDIS funding package, please contact the NDIS directly to commence the application process.  More information about how to apply for the NDIS can be found here:  https://www.ndis.gov.au/applying-access-ndis/how-apply. Please note, currently we are only accepting NDIS plans that are self-managed or plan-managed.

Medicare

Your child may be eligible for a rebated session through Medicare through the following:
  • Chronic Disease Management Plan (CDM)
  • Helping Children With Autism (HCWA)
  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander care plan
Please speak with your local GP for more information about your eligibility for these rebates. Please note, Step By Step Allied Health is unable to process Medicare rebates on your behalf. You can submit a Medicare claim online using either your Medicare online account through myGov or the Express Plus Medicare mobile app.

Private Health Insurance

Private health insurance funds can cover Occupational Therapy if it is included as a comprehensive extra or ancillary option. Private health funds typically cover a portion of the cost.
Please check with your health fund for more information.
Please note, Step By Step Allied Health is unable to process private health fund claims on your behalf. We require you to settle the account in full and claim your rebate via your private health insurance provider.

Fees

Step By Step is also happy to service any clients who do not have any of the funding options mentioned above. At Step By Step, our fees are in accordance with the NDIS recommended pricing.

  • 30 minute Session – $96.99
At Step By Step, we offer a wide range of assessment options and packages. Please contact us for more information about the pricing of specific assessments relevant to your child.
